Dr. Martin Salm is a dual board certified Dermatologist and Cosmetic Surgeon with over 25 years of clinical experience.
Dr. Salm graduated from UCLA Medical School in 1982. He then did a surgical internship and radiology residency at the UCLA School of Medicine. After joining the faculty at UC Irvine Medical School he finished a National Institute of Health fellowship. He then completed a Dermatology residency at UC Irvine and joined a specialty laser surgical group affiliated with the Beckman Laser Institute.
Dr. Salm then completed a cosmetic surgery residency that included a wide array of additional training in facial and body cosmetic surgery as well as skin cancer, liposuction, hair replacement and laser surgery. We are a full service Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery center in beautiful Lake Tahoe, NV with satellite offices in Incline Village, NV and Minden, NV.
Dr. Salm belongs to several professional organizations including: Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Fellow of the American Society of Mohs Surgery, Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Laser Surgery & American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.

Jeanne Horton PA-C
Jeanne Horton graduated with honors from Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana Physician Assistant’s program in 2002. Ms. Horton has years of experience providing a wide variety of services including the treatment of common and chronic skin conditions, skin cancer screening, biopsies, surgery and patient education. Ms. Horton has an extensive background in dermatology, including adolescent and adult acne, accutane management, rosacea and eczema.
In addition, she is experienced in laser and cosmetic procedures such as, Botox Injections, Skin Filler Injections, Sclerotherapy, Facial Peels, Skin Rejuvenation and Personalized Skin Care Programs.
PA’s are licensed health professionals. Before they can practice, graduates of accredited PA programs must pass a single national certification exam developed by the National Board of Medical Examiner and administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Only those individuals with current certification may use the designation “Physician Assistant -Certified” or “PA-C.”
Kyle Machynia PA-C
Kyle is a certified Physician Assistant that graduated with honors from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health
Sciences University (MCPHS) where he earned a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Kyle completed his didactic curriculum from MCPHS and Harvard Medical School. Kyle completed training in medical and surgical dermatology at the VA medical center in Manchester, New Hampshire where he worked closely with the department of dermatology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Kyle has been in medicine for the last seven years and completed a fellowship at Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery in Stateline, Nevada under board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Martin Salm, MD, FAACS.
Kyle joined our practice in 2016. He has a passion for cutaneous surgery as well as medical dermatology. His clinical interests in include: psoriasis, eczema, acne, rosacea, evidence-based medicine, and pharmacology. He is committed to further expanding his expertise through working closely with Martin Salm, MD and attending professional conferences. He is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, National Psoriasis Foundation, Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants, and American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Kyle provides a variety of services in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology including: skin cancer screenings, cryotherapy, biopsies, removal of lesions by surgical excision and primary closure; lipoma removal, laser resurfacing, tattoo removal; Filler injections with Juvederm and Voluma; Submental fullness reduction with Kybella; Botox, chemical peels, sclerotherapy, acne, rosacea, rashes, and all other areas of general dermatology.
